Advancing Public Health Through Partnership

As the oldest school of public health in the United States, the only combined school of public health and tropical medicine in the nation, and one of the first schools of public health to offer fully online degree programs, the Tulane University School of Public Health and Tropical Medicine is no stranger to innovation. Not only are we weaving innovation into the fabric of our degree programs, we’re building innovative partnerships to make graduate public health education accessible to the next generation of community and public health leaders.

Alpha Phi Alpha Partnership

Tulane University School of Public Health and Tropical Medicine is proud to partner with Alpha Phi Alpha, the oldest intercollegiate fraternity for African-American college men in the United States. This groundbreaking partnership paves the way for financially active Alpha Phi Alpha members and alumni to receive an application fee waiver and a 20% tuition discount for Tulane’s School of Public Health and Tropical Medicine’s online master’s programs – including the Online MHA, the Online MPH in Community Health Sciences, the Online MPH in Disaster Management, and the Online MSPH in Industrial Hygiene.

“Advancing educational and professional outcomes for Alpha Phi Alpha Men in the field of public health will undoubtedly improve health outcomes and resilience in the communities we serve around the world”

– Dr. Willis L. Lonzer, III, General President of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc
