Dr. Susan Cheng gives her thoughts on the word from Dr. Fauci that America is moving out of the pandemic phase. She also gave recommended strategies for further analysis and monitoring of COVID numbers, and said we have to continue to work to improve outcomes for COVID cases due to the still high number of national deaths we see from COVID on a projected annual basis. She said, “Even if we hold steady at those numbers and not have more surges, [current] daily deaths represent [more than 100,000] deaths a year from COVID-19.”
